About the role

As Engineering Manager for Infrastructure & Developer Productivity Platform, you’ll lead the engineering strategy, execution, and evolution of the platform foundations that power how engineering builds, ships, operates, and scales at Cashea.

You’ll be responsible for multiple multidisciplinary teams focused on cloud infrastructure, developer experience and productivity, CI/CD, observability, reliability, internal platforms, and engineering enablement. This domain plays a critical role in increasing engineering velocity, improving operational excellence, and building the foundations that allow product teams to move faster with more confidence.

You’ll ensure these teams deliver scalable, reliable, secure, and well-abstracted platform capabilities while fostering a high-performing engineering culture aligned with Cashea’s mission.

You’ll work closely with Engineering Leadership, Product, Security, Data, and domain leaders across the organization to define priorities, shape the platform roadmap, and translate technical strategy into high-leverage execution.

Overall, you will…

• Lead 3–5 engineering squads within the Infrastructure & Developer Productivity Platform domain, ensuring strong technical execution and timely delivery.

• Define and drive the technical roadmap for Cashea’s platform foundations across GCP, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, reliability, internal developer platforms, and engineering productivity.

• Build and evolve platform capabilities that help product engineering teams develop, deploy, and operate software with greater speed, consistency, and safety.

• Partner closely with engineering and product leaders to align platform investments with business priorities and engineering needs.

• Mentor and coach Engineering Leads and senior engineers, fostering ownership, technical judgment, and career growth.

• Collaborate closely with Security, Data, and other domain leaders to ensure strong standards in architecture, reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

• Promote a strong culture of automation, documentation, testing, and knowledge sharing across teams.

• Lead design and architecture discussions to ensure platform systems are scalable, resilient, maintainable, and pragmatic.

• Drive improvements in developer experience, reducing friction across the software development lifecycle through better tooling, standards, and paved roads.

• Support technical hiring, onboarding, and career development across the Platform domain.

• Represent the Infrastructure & Developer Productivity Platform domain within Cashea’s Engineering Leadership Team, contributing to technical strategy, culture, and governance.

• Balance trade-offs between speed and control, standardization and autonomy, short-term pragmatism and long-term platform thinking.

• Raise the bar in reliability and operational maturity without introducing unnecessary bureaucracy.

• Help define the right abstractions, guardrails, and self-service capabilities for teams across engineering.

• Ensure the platform creates real leverage for the organization, rather than becoming a bottleneck or a ticketing layer.

• Evaluate and introduce AI-enabled tools, agents and workflows that meaningfully reduce toil, accelerate development, and improve the day-to-day experience of engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including 2+ years leading multiple teams or squads.

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager, Domain Manager, Platform Manager, or senior technical leader in high-scale fintech, SaaS, or cloud-native environments.

• Strong technical background in cloud infrastructure and platform engineering, with solid understanding of GCP, distributed systems, APIs, and modern software delivery practices.

• Hands-on or leadership experience with areas such as Kubernetes/GKE, CI/CD, observability, cloud security, reliability engineering, developer tooling, and internal platforms.

• Exposure to SRE practices, incident management, SLIs/SLOs, and operational excellence.

• Experience leading cross-functional teams delivering complex internal platforms or critical engineering systems.

• Excellent understanding of agile methodologies, engineering metrics, delivery health, and team dynamics.

• Background in regulated environments or companies with high reliability and security requirements.

• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance, resiliency, and long-term maintainability.

• Strong communication, serving leadership mentality and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Passion for mentoring engineers and building inclusive, high-performance teams.

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
